On a silly note, what happens if you pee in the shower? Does that grey become the black tank? lol

If you mean by opening valves and such, I don't think so but then, I've never tried it. What we do is use a small dishpan in the sink, which in essence is the same as grey water. It just never makes it down the drain.

This valve can be mounted on the outside and used to equalize your grey tanks if you are fortunate to have two, It is also a handy addition in case one of your valves is stuck or leaking.

So Norty, if I place the twist on valve and open the 2 gray valves that would cause the 2 grey tanks to equalize? That is a very slick idea, thanks. Our 31.5 RLTS has very small grey tanks, 36 gallons if I remember correctly. This would be VERY helpful as we use the galley tank much less than the other grey tank. You just made my decision for the next mod/purchase.

Thanks again
Steve

Cheap insurance and very handy. I have used mine for years. Just don't forget to remove it before leaving and make sure the handle clears the slide out.

I think you will find many uses for it.

Note: I also use it on the Blue boy, just twist it on the output tube before emptying and it gives you more control of when the grey comes out.

We work it similar to CruzinKim. Our provincial parks all have toilets, more-often-than-not simple pits, but good 'nuf for us. We're very water conscious, do our dishes in a plastic tub that fits in the sink, and often I'll balance out dumping our dish-water into the black tank just to even things out a bit. And the extra "water sloshing around" the black tank surely helps keep things flowing...I have thought of investing in a tote but can't justify the expense yet...

I never had one before, but a camping buddy of mine does. We now live a couple of hours apart, and although we still camp together a good bit (or at least we will once I replace my TT) I will be buying my own. With a wife and 6 kids, its pretty amazing how fast tanks fill. Ive emptied the black before, and always do it first, then do plenty of grey water, then rinse it at the dump station. Last step is to leave some chemicals in there just to be sure.

Can remember what brand he had, but it had some kind of tilting aparatous at the bottom that made it a real PITA to completely empty.
