WD - 3P/Hensley question

We've got a 3P in the hands of UPS right now and will use it for the new trailer. I'm just wondering if any of you with heavier TTs have either of these and what you're seeing as your final tongue weight. The 3P has 1400# bars. Our 320 factory TW is over 1200. So we'll be very near or above 1400 after all is said and done. I like a safety cushion when I can get it. Can anyone tell their experience with either of these hitches? It seems they're similar enough that the Arrow experience would also be helpful. Thanks. Means nothing, I just like these guys.

Well I`m no help but there are bunch of guys on RVnet that use the Hensleys including the moderator of the TT and towing forum. I believe there is also a sticky thread dedicated to the Hensley in the TT forum there. -Lee

You're right. Actually, I already went there and posted a similar question just a few minutes after posting this one. It's just the TW I'm concerned with, not the operation or the ours-versus-theirs debate. RVNet has more members but we've got more Jayco onwers here. Answers might be a bit closer to home.

Yeah they can get pretty passionate about their hitches over there! Between the two forums I`m sure someone will chime in.

Call Hensley on their 800 number... they will be happy to discuss any concerns you may have about towing...
