WD40 for black streaks

DW read that WD40 can be used to clean those pesky black streaks form the sides of the RV cap and cab. Dang it, if she wasnt right. Used a damp cloth and a small squirt of WD40 into the cloth. Black streaks wiped clean effortlessly.

Any issues known with using WD40 for this purpose?

My only thought would be the wax, but I don't know for sure.

I also read WD40 can be wiped on the TV bumper and TT front cap to make bug easy to clean up... not sure if I'll be doing that.

WD40 will also work to loosen those pesky stickers that come on many items these days. Goo Gone also will work; just depends on what you have handy!

Marks that are not scratches (like from a black rubber shoe sole) can be removed with WD40.
My father-in-law loved the stuff and even claimed to use it on pie (not that I believe everything he said).
I've used it on boat fiberglass with good results in years past but wouldn't spray/wipe and walk away. Pre-cleaning WD40 as part of the TT washdown would work. I'd expect it to take off the wax tho.
Used to be made with fish oil I believe, not a clue what's in it now. As I recall it was the 40th formulation of a "Water Displacement" (WD - get it?) product for the government.
