Weber RVQ 100 and quick connect for dummies

I know, I know, the subject is all around the web but I am not mechanically inclined.
Is there someone, somewhere that made a video or a step by step guide to convert the weber RVQ to be used with the quick connect on the Jayco?
I understand the Weber regulator needs to be removed but that's about it.
What parts do I need? special care to install?
pictures?
I need a guide for dummies.

I've been having the same issue. My problem is that I also want to use my Weber at home so removing the regulator isn't the best solution for me.

Some people have installed the following item on their camper LP tank. You would place the fitting between the LP tank and the regulator that feeds the camper. Propane Splitter. In essence, this is splitting the LP line BEFORE the regulator.

You then need a hose to connect the new splitter to your grill. Something like this. The fittings on either end of this hose are the same type as the 1# green LP bottles. One end gets screwed to the new fitting, the other end gets screwed to your grill.

You have now split the LP line BEFORE any regulators. The onbaord camper regulator still works for the camper and the Weber regulator still works for the grill and you didn't have to modify a thing.

That's a good way to do it but my camper has the propane lines going to the rear grill and kitchen so I would like to use this line and not run another one to the tank.

I got a load of great info but still unsure if I'll proceed with the conversion or not.
We purchased the hose that will fit onto a 5lbs last summer before getting the Jayco but have never used it.
I do like the idea of not having to stay by the trailer as well. If I could rig the Weber to fit onto the bumper, that would be great. Otherwise, beside the fact that I would prefer using our on board propane to carting a 5 lbs tank, I do like the idea of being able to carry the Weber a little further from the trailer if need be.
Using the 5lbs tank, I assume the regulator on the weber is all that is needed right? no extra piece to go on the propane tank?

This is a link to a thread on My RV Talk, another rv forum. It explains how to convert your Weber Q to work on the quick disconnect of your Jayco. I followed these instructions to convert mine and am pleased with the result. There are photos and a complete explanation how to do it.
