Weight distribution hitch info for X17A

Can anyone tell me which type weight distribution hitch (with sway control) would be best for my X17A? Not just the brand but the model and/or rating.
Driving on interstate and around big semis causes quite a bit of swaying.

There should be a sticker on the frame telling you the limits of what WD hitch to use so that you don't damage the frame.

I have an Equalizer brand hitch. They have weight distribution and sway control rolled into a simple setup. According to Jayco's website, the specs on your trailer (up to 525# tongue weight - 15% of the GVWR), and figuring 500# of stuff in the rear of your truck, they recommend the hitch with 10K# bars:Hitch Sizes

As far as I'm concerned, the Equalizer is the best on the market, but someone will surely disagree. But it IS the simplest when hitching up and when unhitching.

A simple friction type works great on the smaller tt's. I have a 19h w/ the friction type and it is fine. What are you using for a tv that you need a weight dist hitch. Larry

What is the tongue weight you are looking for? There are a lot of options but without knowing the weight rating its hard to pinpoint an exact product for you. If you can find that information out, and if its available I would go with Fastway. They have a lot of options. I just bought one with sway control from Hitchweb and it's honestly amazing. For the max tongue weight possible for your unit, take gvw and multiply by .15 (15%). That figure will be the max tongue weight you should ever have. I myself would go 1 bar size over that so you have a little "cushion" if you decide to move up to a larger trailer in the future.
As others have stated, "The CAT scale is your friend".
You should scale your unit so that you know what you weights are and know that your hitch is adjusted correctly.
