Well it is finally here RETIREMENT!

My wife and I are officially retired! We are planning to be on the road about 4 months of the year.

Our first big trip will be later this summer up into New England to see the leaves and then back home.

We like State Parks and COE camp grounds and plan on using our 3-3-3 rule.

300 miles in a travel day. Get there by 3:00 PM. And stay 3 Days.

TxTwo, Congrats!!!
I retired late in ‘16 and am loving it. Our first “big” trip was last fall when we visited Custer SD, Yellowstone, Co Springs (plus a few other stops) over a 6 week period.
In Europe at the moment (no trailer) but looking forward to June (WDW w the g’son, oh yeah, his parents too &#128527.
Happy Trails!

Welcome to the best job in the world. Do what you want, when you want to. Don't do what you don't want to do any time you don't want to.

Almost there myself. Wife and I will kick off our retirement with a 3 weeks vacation to Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Cody, and Mt. Rushmore. Looking forward to it after 40+ years of self employment.

Congrats -- I'm ready too -- but the wife says I need to keep the job or we'll be divorced in no time :-)

We'll see if she changes the tune when we are empty nesters this fall.
