I see the word, "free", being used. Ain't nuthin' free in an RV purchase. You might very well negotiate a better deal where the dealer includes more items, but they aren't free. The dealer is simply compromising their bottom line to make a sale. It's no different than the dealer lowering their price.
The only possible advantage to getting more items included in the deal is that the dealer could factor in his markup on the items. If I was a dealer, I wouldn't do that, as it would mess up my figures for the profit I was making on accessories. Five widgets at $50 apiece, and one free would mess up my average. Also, if it's an item that needs to be installed, the dealer has to figure that in.
And, I don't want a dealer installing things for me. Who's going to do the better job of installing and sealing a vent cover? Me! Period.
I'd go for the lower price on the overall package with limited goodies. Another advantage to this, is it would be much easier to compare the deal to what other dealers are willing to offer.
When I negotiate with a salesman, I like to do it in a business-like way. "Here is what I'm willing to pay....." If I start asking for item 1,2,3,4, etc., do I start to look like an annoying beggar? When all the looking at the RVs on the lot, and letting the BS from the salesman slide by (because I've done my homework), and the small talk is done, sit down in the salesman's office, drop the smiles, take charge, and get down to real business. Be ready to walk if it's not the best deal, or shake his hand and smile if they come through.
