I bought my TV first with the intention of upgrading from a pop up to a hybrid in the near future. I did not do my homework very well and jumped on the 2010 colorado. We upgraded from the popup to hybrid this year and I wish I had spent more time doing all the research before I had bought the truck. I am now planning on buying a new truck in the near future and I am making sure that this truck will be able to pull any future larger trailers incase we decide to upgrade the TT

I bought the truck first and was misled into thinking how well the truck would handle my trailer once I bought it. I really should have done my homework a lot better, as sunstarmoon pointed out. However, not to be outdone by Crabby, I took care of that little TV problem and bought myself a 2500HD. Truly, I blamed him for the whole "truck upgrading thing" in another thread. Ha ha ha.

In 1978 I decided I had had enough of sleeping on the ground in a tent. I knew that my Ford would pull a popup, the only thing was to decide on the manufacturer. Jayco won, hands down. And now, 27 years later, I'm back in a Jayco.

At an RV show last year we decided to replace both our TV and TT. What to buy for both went back and forth over the next six months but in the end we decided on the Expediion first which shortened the list for TT

I kind of bought them together. I got the TV in Feb with the trailer picked out. We were going to wait a year to get the trailer, but by June talked the wife into getting it as well. So I like the 'same time' theory.
TT to match the TV. Had an F150 with the small V8 because the max weight was around 6k. Upgraded to a Silverado with 5.3 and 7500 lb tow weight. Just bought a White Hawk that will pretty much max out the TV but pulls great so we'll use it for 2 or 3 years then most likely will go with a 2500. Seems like a good plan.
