Build quality compared to the Jayco. We love our Jayco now we have all the (excessively large number of) gremlins worked out. Many were just poor prep by the dealer, others were shoddy workmanship at the factory...that the dealer should have caught. Still, now all is fixed and set up just the way we like it...we love it. Previous unit was a toy hauler so we miss taking our bikes but, we also like to do quit or last minute weekend trips in nearby state parks and the overall dimensions of the toy hauler made many of our favorite spots inaccessible.

I miss the large awning our previous Wildcat fiver had. This Jayco isn't even half the size because of the 3rd slide.

What do I miss?
I miss not being in a finance contract that will outlive me.

Jayco Grayhawk 26Y
I had previously a Forester that I traded fro the Jayco. The thing I miss the most is the custome warranty service. Forester asked for supporting pictures and they shipped repair parts direct to me in days. With Jayco I have to go thru a dealer to get even small items and it take a month...very poor customer support.

I miss an awning that could be used for more than a sunshade on a calm day, and a door that opened more than 90 degrees so it would not act like a big sail in the wind. And I miss the little cord door within the power panel door for running the cord through.

Pulled an '02 Hornet for 13 years, never missed a beat. Had twice the cupboards and storage of my '17 White Hawk. Better floor. Better lights. Sleeper sofa instead of these jack knife futon things. Great layout and the wife kept the living room chairs from it. Wind storm dropped three trees on it and it was totaled. Crappy bathroom with those dinky tub things. I don't miss how heavy it was....aluminum siding.

We bought brand new a 1984 StarCraft Starlite 17' when ours boys were very small. We had many memorable camping trips the 35 years we had it! But do I miss it? No way!! I got too old for the manual setup and tear-down (especially cranking the up the roof). We are now very happy with our 2019 Jayco Jay Flight 264BH. Every time we use the new trailer we feel like we're living in the Taj Majal

I miss the higher quality furniture we had in last unit. No class c comes close. Replacing current furniture is definitely in my future.
Enjoy the journey

Went from tent camping to TT to Class C.
I kind of miss having the dual propane tanks my trailer had. My Class C has only the one on-board tank.
Sometimes I miss my truck (I really loved that truck), but I love my Jeep, so that one's a little "tempered". One nice thing about my TT and my truck was the storage capacity. I could literally bring ANYTHING I wanted or thought I might need. I have to be a little more choosy with the MH, but some of the things I would bring are built in (like the generator). I can store a bunch of stuff in the Toad too, so it's not so bad.
I miss a little of the space my trailer had. Our MH is just slightly tighter. That one's getting pretty nit-picky.
And it was mostly paid off, and the truck was completely paid off. Now I have a note for the MH, and now another for the new Jeep (my Grand Cherokee was paid for, but took a dive into electrical gremlin land, so I traded it on a new Wrangler).
One of the things I miss most is backpacking in the back country. Saw some absolutely breathtaking scenery and had immeasurable life experiences backpacking. We've had relatively equal but different experiences in the TT and MH, but nothing really compares. But I'm looking forward to having DW tend to the Class C as a "base camp" and taking my son out for jaunts with the ol' backpack.
All of that being said, we thoroughly enjoy our MH, and we feel we've finally found our "perfect" rig and setup ... for this chapter in our lives anyway...

I just thought of something else, nothing was hidden in the pup. So easy to do anything. Running wires, mods, etc.

We miss the removable stove from our pop-up that could be mounted and used outside, also freeing up counter space inside.

What Do You Miss About A Previous Unit?
Having the confidence something will not malfunction from the time we leave til the time we return.
Problem is the unit we would like retire with in the next few years is a Jayco.

My old Forest River had a full sized, side to side, top to bottom storage room accessed from the back of the trailer, was about 15 inches deep, held tons of stuff, room for fishing poles, shovels, stoves, gas cans, and enclosed spare tire...
Other than that, I really like what I have now, besides, this trailer and my truck are both paid for, no payments, so I'm quite satisfied with my current setup.

I forgot to mention how much I miss the shower in my TT. There's another discussion about shower size going on right now and it reminded me.
It was the 28BHBE, which has a NICE shower.
Oh how I miss that shower...
