You can also ask for a schematic of the build. It will show you how the roof, floor etc. were contructed.

So, do you just call Jayco and say, "Hey, I have year and model such-and-such. Can I have a copy of all available schematics?" I just wondered if a need had to be established. Is there a cost? I don't mean to hijack this thread but since you're looking to acquire these schematics from Jayco, I just wondered what the process was.

Project related you have an even shot of getting your request met even with their policy of no copies if you are still in warranty. A full set, that's likely going to be met with a decline response. Walls are useful, cabinets, charging systems, roof and floor, 12v, 120v.
Thanks for the info Wabirch. What do you plan to do with your schematics Dartwest? I would see value in them if I were keeping the unit for 7-10 years or more. I'd also see value if I had a modification that was going to tap into or breech the component in question. Ok, actually I wouldn't mind having them all just because I am mechanically capable. I can address most anything that needs adjusting or repair. The folks here keep me pointed in the right direction, teach me the short cuts and show me things I've never heard of or tried. I also like studying that kind of stuff (yes, nerdy).

I am an engineer by trade, training and personality. Not having the schematics for something I may have to work on in an emergency situation is not something I am comfortable with. Also I like doing modifications and the more I know the less likely I will screw something up.

I have gone to their website and under the “contact us” section asked for what i was looking for and have always gotten it back in a few days. Include your VIN. I have compiled most of the plumbing and electrical drawings that way.
