The remains of the 4 inch hole has been known to be left in the tank and often presents problems down the road but I never heard of one closing that hole rather the drain hole.

I would try to backwash the clog with one of those flushers that attach to the outlet.

Wow..really? I wonder why mine deflects? May have to look into this a bit further.

All of mine have been straight down. My guess is they couldn't put yours straight down and accommodate the floor plan. As my wife said, it's just a pit toilet with a little extra plumbing.

Although a bit pricey, you might want to consider a digital inspection camera. This one from Harbor Freight is $85 but was on sale last month for $59. It could have a myriad of uses.

I was just really looking at my toilet. I know what you are seeing.

On mine there is the main plastic piece that you see when you look in the toilet and holds the water back. When the foot pedal is depressed it slides back and another plastic piece slides into the opening about a couple inches and diverts the water to the back of the pipe. That second piece is about three inches below the first. Mine only covers about 25% of the opening.

I hope this helps.

When the lazy a$$ at the factory cut the hole in the top for the toilet , it fell in the tank and they did not remove it, it is now wedged in the way

Have you thought about putting on a long glove, like the cleaning type, and just putting your hand down there to see what it is? If the tank is empty, should not be a problem.

My 2017 16XRB black tank is a straight shot from the toilet to the tank. Opening the toilet drain and taking a look with a flashlight shows pretty clearly just what's down there and it ain't pretty, but it's the best way to see how full the tank is since the tank gauges are as accurate as West Michigan weathermen.

Since this mechanism is so simple and straight-forward, I'm inclined to think those who believe the 'assembler' left a cutout in the tank could be on the right track.

Good Luck, Javin.

My first shake down trip with my very first rig had the black tank cutout stuck in my clear fitting that I had on my sewer hose! Thank god it passed into the sewer hose and I found it, it would have been a mystery issue for some time!

This was almost 7 years ago, so even without a pandemic excuse, manufacturing was still “crappy” back then! Pun intended!

I've posted before on this problem, as an old RV mechanic I repaired 2 or 3, fishing them out with cable grabbers. The person at Jayco running the hole saw is not about to go fishing for the blank or plug that falls out of the hole saw blade. For one thing, his hand isn't going to fit in the opening, unless that person has very small hands. And he isn't going to say anything about it to a team leader or foreman.

Somehow you need to get a visual on what is blocking outlet. Shop vac and suck out debris around it? Or Hook up a water hose to the outlet and back flush into the tank and see if something dislodges. If it is truly plastic sounds like a foreign object (kids?) or original cutout not removed as mentioned above. Seen many of those oddball pluggages in my 35 year paper mill career.
