What is the name of your rig?

Everybody knows you have to name your car - current one, a Honda CRV, is named River. But what is the name of your RV, TT, 5W?

X2

My car is, the car. My truck is, the truck. My Jayco is the trailer. I've never named an object, never loved any either. I have liked many, but, I never love something that can't love me back, they are just "things".

Wags999,
You didn't Love your Rifle?
Weren't you listening to your DI? :-)

We put a name on the back of our 1st Trailer - called it "The Empty Nest".
I even found a graphic of an empty birds nest to put under the name.
But in conversation we just called it "the trailer."

We actually had a discussion when we upgraded from the tow behind to the 5th wheel. DW said "What do we call it? Is a 5th wheel a 'trailer'?"
After hearing it, she liked the term "5er" but mostly we just refer to it as the "RV". It's short and simple.

Bingo. Now, my dog is a different story. She thinks I walk on water. So, she gets my affection and a name.

Our last one was a Sunline called "Sunny". Now we call our Jayco "Happy Trails".

So now, when we get a trailer, I have to name it too?
It was hard enough coming up with a name for the boat. More worries.

I have never felt the need for naming objects, I always get asked why my boat doesn't have a name on it, I find it a strange boating tradition.

Both our boat and Seneca are named Perdido. This means lost in Spanish. I have to remind people it's like we want to get "lost" not that we "are lost". Some that don't get it I just have to tell them to "get lost".

My TV is named Sully - actually James P Sullivan - the big blue monster in Monsters Inc.

Our TT is named Puff (or sometimes Puff the Magic Wagon). Name came about when we asked my teenage son what we should name the new trailer. He rolled his eyes and hit us with a "pfffff" of exasperation. The name stuck.

Our previous pup was named Horatio Stormbreaker.

This is something I have had to get used to in life. I never used to name anything, but DW will anthropomorphise EVERYTHING.

You don't have to love something to name it. Besides, many different kinds of love. I will most definitely love my RV when I finally get it. 😀

Same here...

We have "The Truck", "The Van", "The Trailer" and "The Boat". Never felt a need to name any of them.

I generally like to give my things unique handles...

The F-350 TV is "Montblanc", French slurring for "White Mountain" because it is white and you have to climb up the thing...

My Last trailer was "Le Chateau". It was a Chateau brand 15-footer. I loved the irony of calling a 15' travel trailer "The Castle"!

Three of my tractors are "Paul Bunyan", it gets used for pushing trees down and other big things, "Dutch" is a New Holland brand and "Bob" is a CT-221 from Bobcat.

Boringly, the current trailer is "The Jayco". My daily driver is "The Explorer".
