What kind of wax?

Hi all

We are taking delivery of our new Jay Flight 33RLDS on Thursday (the polar weather that is going to hit this week is absolutely our fault because we're getting a new RV. You're welcome, everyone ). For those of you who wax the exterior of your trailers, what have you found to be the product that you prefer?

Ours will be the corrugated aluminum sides, not fiberglass. It will sit outside exposed to Midwestern sun in the spring/summer/fall and be stored in heated storage in the winter.

I use Mcguires cleaner wax once in the earl spring and again in the late fall. I have had good results with this although it is a VERY time consuming job.

Meguires Cleaner Wax is in my plans as well, I'm hoping my arms hold out. Otherwise I might find myself at Harbor Freight buying an electric buffing wheel... Planning to do the job before I put her up for tax season...

Other users here swear by NuFinish, and I have some, but haven't tried it yet.

Get your self an oribital buffer. Did my whole 30' trailer in less than 3 hours. and that was with my 4 yo helping and BSing with the neighbor

this will work great on the smooth sided TT but not so much on aluminum sided ones.

Meguires Cleaner wax. Do it 2 times a year on the 33Rlds and on our Jayco Bungalow. A lot of wax on wax off. But the end results are worth it.

Eagle One wax as you dry with carnauba wax... I use it every time i clean the camper - quick and easy. Does not last as long as regular wax but does a good job considering how easy it is to use...

Meguires NXT 2.0 twice a year. Washing and waxing, all by hand including the roof, takes about 6 hrs.

So it looks like most use regular automotive waxes....I've got several different brands because I wax my car regularly. Although I think the trailer will have to wait until spring for it's first wax seeing as it's freezing cold here now.
