What made you choose Jayco?

Waited 6 months for the price to go down on the in-stock unit I wanted.

I purchased specifically for the floor plan. Jayco was one of the only manufacturers offering the Murphy Bed with the double over double bunk configuration when we purchased.

Floor plan and build quality but that was for a 2010 unit.

We lied the floor plan. But ultimately it was the beds. We checked out and tried a lot if other hybrids. Jayco hada thicker mattress, and where more comfortable, especially across the bunk hinge seam.

X2 + Cannot deal with CW, and we had very few other local options at the time. We bought into the "Jayco Diffference" sham as well. I worked with a guy than had a 26bh. I credit him for getting us out of tents and PUPs and into our Jayco.

We were thinking about going with Keystone again, but found the same model with Jayco but with a nicer interior. The two year warranty and advice from a Jayco-owning friend made us chose Jayco. We don’t regret it at all.

Build quality. I liked the arched roof on the Eagle and the solidness of the slide out walls. Looked at trailers with slide out walls that were very flimsy. You could literally push the walls in and out. That was a huge turn off.

Floor plan and most bang for our buck. Throw in the fact we wanted to buy from the dealer close to us and it was the best choice. I agree with what others say. They are all mass produced. Unless you want to drop $150,000 plus on a high end unit your going to find problems. My Mom and Dad just got a 2018 Keystone and they've had some serious issues.

They had the floorplan my wife wanted and a dealership within a few hundred miles of us that had one. Our prior TT was made by KZ and we would have stayed with KZ (they have a model with a similar floorplan) but we couldn't find a dealer within reasonable driving distance that had one we could actually look at.

Pricing and floor plan.

The bigger plus was 3/4" wood flooring. After suffering thru the "Sandwiched/Composite" flooring it is a great build.

Full timers 10yrs now and Jayco is so far the best...

Since our Jayco is our third RV my wife and I had a long list of "wants" and "must haves" when we shopped. The Eagle Super Lite 266 RKS checked all the "must have" boxes. Floor plan, high ceiling, oversize entry door, night stands, vehicle weight, smooth siding, etc. The only nagging quality issue has been a sagging shower stall door.

For my first Jayco its the name brand that we bought.

For the second one that we have on order its 1- our excellent dealership 2- The 2 years warranty 3- Jayco response to our warranty needs on our actual trailer they stand by their product

The floor plan was also important and we hesitate a lot between our Jayflight 29 rks and a a 28mks from Grand design ( Transcend ) what drove our choice was the Jayco's warranty and the uncertainty with the new dealer , also GD seems to have their own problem and they dont look any better quality wise, but they have a lot of nice floorplan, jayco can learn from them a lot

Intial quality didnt play a role thats for sure ... but its the whole industry that is sick

Drank the “koolaid” and what a huge mistake. This thing has been plagued with more issues than anyone can document. Just got back from trip and 2 days of repairs.

We needed to get out of our 2012 Prime Time Tracer because that thing was a turd. Soft spots in sandwiched floor, delamination areas on the exterior (even while being impeccably maintained), chinsy interior construction, etc., etc... We previously had a Jayco before the Prime Time Tracer and it was a great trailer. We went with a Jayco again after looking at a bazillion different makes and models. When we stepped into the White Hawk, we pretty much knew right away that it was the trailer for us. It just simply had a higher quality feel. Granted, they all have their issues, but the White Hawk stood above the rest in quality. We have been in it for over a year now and the only repair it has needed was a bad USB port was replaced under warranty. That's it. And we've camped A LOT in it and have 2 young kids that are pretty rough on it. Probably the biggest deciding factor was the plywood floor used on the White Hawk. Our Tracer with the sandwiched floor construction was horrendous. Was afraid I would fall through in a few areas. The plywood floor is much more solid.

While I did look at other brands with the same exact floor plan, and I researched the hell out of all of them, the Jayco 38FDDS was far above the others in build quality. Looked at a Springdale 38, build quality was awe full in comparison as was the Outlook we looked at. No Jayco dealers near us had a 38FDDS in stock, so I actually looked at one while on vacation in Orlando. When we got home we ordered one locally. I have zero regrets. It’s one of the last pre Thor units, not sure if that makes a difference compared to the ones they build today. We had a few bugs in the beginning, but our dealer traveled 130 to our seasonal site on cape cod to take care of them under warranty. The warranty on our 2016 expired this past April and all has been good.
