Layout and quality for the price. We have been looking for a family friendly layout in a smaller trailer for a while. Tougher then we thought.
The X213 Jay Feather got us bunks for the girls, a king size bed for us, a full size couch, dinette and bathroom all in a 21 foot trailer.

The other factor was an evening my wife and I wandered around the seasonal area of our favorite local campground and noticed how many Jayco products we saw.

The 33 RLDS ? We like the bathroom close to the bedroom. A door to the bedroom and not just curtains. And the huge living space with the opposable slides in the back..The wardrobe slide is great too. Lots of storage.

Because of the large bathroom in the back and the seperate bedroom up front. We still laugh at having two sinks in the bathroom.

We have camped in a fleetwood prowler tt then a 2002 forest river wildcat 5th wheel. Had great times in both. We have also learned a lot about campers in the process. We have looked at a lot of new campers in the last 9 months. Went to a family reunion in McComb Mississippi. Went to the local rv dealer while there and looked at jayco 5th wheels. WOW we were impressed. Gonna wait now for the 2014 that are just starting to come out.

Privately held company, warranty, quality, more bang for the buck, and most important of all - the DW said `I like it'!

Of all the dealers we looked at, the ones with Jayco seemed more professional and knowledgeable than the others. Ended up buying used, but the decision was still for a Jayco. By the end of our searching we were really only looking at jayco products and found one in the layout we preferred, could be towed by our veh and was the right price. This is our first year with it and we are very happy.

Really bad experience with a Keystone TT gave us a lot of info on what to look for when it was time to upgrade. After spending more and more time down south in the winter, we decided it was time. Oldest Daughter has a Jayco pop-up and the quality and features are far superior to the Coleman [they're pretty good] that we grew up with. Did a lot of talking to fellow campers and research on forums and the majority led us to Jayco. Saw a White Hawk on a trip last year and liked it. Owner was very positive about it. Started out looking for a 5th W but soon found that although they say some are made that can be towed with a 1500, its really not a great idea. Also the wifes Crew Cab Silverado is not recommended by GM for 5'ers. Not going to do a sales job for Jayco, but the White Hawk pretty much sold itself. The 30DSRE has given everyone we know the "Wow" reaction when they step inside. We think its the perfect layout for a retired couple with comfortable sleeping quarters, full bath and walk in shower, and a main salon that we still find hard to believe.

Short answer to the OP ? Reputation and Product design. The Most for a fair price that we can tow with the Silverado.
