What to do about parking?

Staying at a Legoland hotel in Winter Haven FL tomorrow night and I verified that I can park the rig in their main parking lot (not hotel) but I'm a bit concerned. It's been over 90 every day we have been here and the fridge and freezer are loaded. I was planning on leaving propane on so shouldn't be a problem.
I was thinking of parking the rig at a local cg for $35 just so that the AC is on and the rig stays cooler. Is this silly? It would only be for one night since we are then headed to Disney's Fort Wilderness cg.

Both are good choices actually. No harm will come to your rig leaving it in a parking lot for a day in Florida. I have seen it done for weeks at a time at Disney at the bottom of their resort hotel parking lots.

The campground isn't a bad idea either for the price you listed. It's all in what you are comfortable with.

By the way, I'll be down in Disney at the end of the month. Say hi to Mickey for me.

For $35 I'd park it at the local campground so you could run the ac and help keep all the food in the fridge cool. The fridge may not need the help but for the $35 why not...

And by the way my kids loved Legoland when we did it a few years back...

Not silly. The fridge should be OK, but keeping the trailer cooler is an excellent plan for a good night's sleep.

BTW, DW and I are jealous. We love 'The Fort' and WDW.

It is likely that your trailer will be more secure in the campground versus a hotel parking lot

I would park at the campground. Depending on your battery charge your fridge could shut off, even on propane. Peace of mind is well worth $35.00!

Left it in the lot. Just seemed easier although the cg was down the rd. Just didn't feel like taking the extra step when we finally arrived. The Jay had the entire lot all by it's lonesome.
The Norcold kept it's cool at a brisk 25 degrees in the FL sun. Can't wait to hit Fort Wilderness later today.

You would never find my TT at the lot at Lego world, but that is because you would never find me there. Not our cup of tea.

I do applaud your choice to park in the lot vs a CG. Its not about the $35 but I like to be able to check up on things or retrieve something I need without driving to somewhere. Did you leave the RV connected to the tv? That would be another plus.

I sure did. They offer a free shuttle so it was door to door service between the hotel and parks. I did forget my cell charger in the RV so I was able to go back and get it with no issues.
