When to replace Rainier Tires

I have about 4,000mi on the factory Rainier tires. Thus far I haven't had any problems but I know it is a roll of the dice. I plan on spending a lot of time in Eastern Oregon this year away from any roadside services. I find myself growing more and more concerned about these tires but I hate to spend money on something that isn't broken. I will be upgrading to 8ply tires when I do replace them. Looking for feedback/opinions, please.

NOW!!!

We had brand new trailer w 1500 miles. 3/5 tires had huge bubbles. Spare was completely split. 1 looked OK. IMO, replace them, NOW!

I have had the exact opposite experience but my trailer is a bit smaller/lighter than yours (see my signature). I currently have ~4000 on my tires and they look great, no obvious signs of distress anywhere on the tires. I check the air pressure religiously and try to keep my speed at 62 mph or less and so far so good.

No issues with Rainier either in the 14" size.

A thousand miles on ours, no problems. Tires still look new. I obsessively watch the pressure, and keep the speeds to less than 60 mph.

In 5 years from date of manufacture, but inspect them before every trip. If you see bubbles or tread separation replace immediately.

Good idea about getting heavier tires, that will hopefully reduce the chance of you having a failure.

We are getting rid of ours before we hit the road in the next month. 2k on them, look perfect but I don't need the worry. Maxxis 8008's soon. Next rotation after that will be new 110-lb rims and Sailun G rated.
