Where are you camping this weekend?

Oasis is great. We stay there at the start and end of every trip west. With it being so hot, we do all our end of trip cleaning there while we have 50amp and FHU. Once home, everything is cleaned, bagged up and packed for easy removal. Just a nice place. Better though if the wind isn’t blowing the feed lot smell that way. I don’t notice it after a few hours.

Shake out run

Short trip to Natchez State RV Campground, on Pin Oak Lake, near Lexington, TN. This is a state park with full hook ups. It's very clean, quiet and reasonably price. During High season, they offer a 25% senior/handicap discount. More discounts during off season. If you're in the area, check it out at TNstateparks.com. Highs this weekend 90+ degrees.

Tonight we are at Herkimer Diamond KOA in Herkimer, NY. We are trying something new and staying in camping cabins this trip, mostly because we are moving every night or two and it would be challenging seeing what we want to see with a camper in tow. We left Chicago at 430am and arrived here at 830pm. It’s a pretty nice park right by a large creek with some nice sounding rapids. Tomorrow we are going to Fort Stanwix National National Monument and the Oriskany Battlefield.

Just got back from the KOA in Holly Michigan, visiting Frankenmuth. The KOA is a bit smaller and showing some age, but a lot of character, probably from the amount of large trees. Had a great time and probably the best weather we had in a long time.
