Gorgeous, I lived in Havelock as a kid and we spend almost every weekend in the Oracoke/Hateras area. Last time I visited the area was in the 80's.
Hoping to rent a place for an extended family get together for Thanksgiving or Christmas in the next couple years.

We are going to a new campground this weekend, Illinois Beach State Park. I camped there several times as a kid, but we've never gone there as a family because it is so close (14 miles). We are not even leaving the county. We are camping with friends and hope the weather is nice enough to be able to swim in Lake Michigan.

Hocking Hills - Southeast Ohio
5 nights at Hocking Hills State Park Campground. Forecast for full sun 86º so plan to take advantage of the newly rebuilt pool facility, very nice upgrade. Also planning to hike over to the new State Park Lodge location where it should be getting very close to completion. This lodge will be the best lodge in the Ohio State Park System when open. A Trip to Brewery33 down the road along with a visit to Hocking Hills Moonshine Co. should round it out for the booze hound in me.

Hah! - Just commented about this place on another site this week. We enjoyed our stay there in 2019 - the vintage trailers and cars were fun to see. Also enjoyed the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History along with old downtown..... Hopefully it's not too hot there!

Headed to Mother Neff near Waco, TX. Last minute decision today to camp this weekend. Surprised to find any availability within 3 hours of DFW. May see some rain, but that’s better than 100 degrees.

This is our second time staying here and we really enjoyed it. The temps for the next 4 days will be in the mid 80's for a high and mid 60's at night. For the last 2 weeks we were in triple digit temps, so this is heaven!!
