Headed to Utah this week, taking my son to Lagoon Amusement Park, my daughter, her husband and my granddaughter will be joining us, we will be camping at the campground at the park so it should be a great time!

Going camping on the Cowpasture River. The Cowpasture River is off I-65 just past Covington, VA. Friends of ours have a camp on the Cowpasture. We will take our 23RB out for the first time since we bought it. One other trailer (34 ft triple axle Airstream) comes. The rest of the folks stay in the camp.

That's one of our favorites around here, also Standing Stone and Bandy Creek BSF.

Where are you camping this weekend?

Scooted out work work a little early to head over to Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in Woodford, VT. 1st time here to camp. We did come up in May and picked out our site. Owners are very nice and very accommodating. This is a nice and quiet little Campground nestled in the Green Mountains just off of RT. 9 next to the former Prospect Mt. Ski area. Loving it so far! Looking like a great weekend, including the weather!!

This is the first time we've camped here, didn't even know this place existed until this year. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They invited us to come up before they opened for the season and gave us a tour of the sites and let us pick our site out. There are 3 nice ponds in the campground. Row boat and canoes are included in price of site with oars and life jackets provided. They have a game room with air hockey, foosball, table tennis and a couple other games, again all is included in the price of the site. It's a smaller campground is very nice and maintained well. They have sites for all sizes with some pull thru's. There is one loop that has nice larger size shaded sites with electric, water and they have free wifi. I would suggest the sites 29 - 34 with site 33 being the largest in my opinion for this loop. Sites seem fairly level too. The rates are very reasonable as well. If you decide to try it out I would suggest pulling into the Prospect Mt. Ski area parking lot across from the general store and follow the signs into the campground. There is another entrance but would be a sharp left if you were coming in from 9 east. The campground is nice and quiet. If your not looking for all the hustle and bustle then I would recommend. We will certainly be coming back again. It rates right up there with Winhall Brook in my book. Hope this helps.

Here was sunset from the play field right behind our site last night, absolutely gorgeous (and yes, this was an unedited photo taken with my iPhone).

Here is pictures of their brochure:

All the Best,

Duke

Inks Lake State Park

We are headed to Inks Lake State Park in the Texas hill country near Austin early Friday morning and returning Sunday night. We are looking forward to rest and relaxation and exploring the area.
