Leaving Sunday after church for Cotton Hill COE Campground in Ft. Gaines, GA. This is one of the few COE campgrounds with full hookups, all on the water. Be there for a week with the Flint River Sams Camping club and having a big fish fry probably Thursday evening. Can't wait.

You are all making me jealous! Our first camping trip isn’t for another 6 weeks.... Can’t wait! Supposed to be around 60° here this weekend. Forecast looks like it should stay above freezing at night for the foreseeable future so I think might put the battery in and open it up for the weekend.

Spent the weekend there about a month ago. It was....how do I say this??…. OK.
I don't want to bash the place because it wasn't that bad. It's just not a CG I prefer. Roads are very narrow and crooked and the sites are far from level. At least in the section I was in which is up front. Farther in the back they seem to level out a little bit. It was our maiden voyage and I only had one pack (10) of leveling blocks. After I used most of them up under the wheels getting it level left to right, I had only 1 jack that would even reach the ground without blocks.
But I can give it kudos for the atmosphere. Very quite even though it was rather crowded with RVs. Kinda surprised me. Bath house was clean and everything worked. They have both an outdoor and indoor pool as well as mini golf, shuffle board, and a b-ball court. Although the only thing open was the indoor pool. During the prime season it may be lots of fun for the family.
Again I'm not saying its a bad place but for me personally the streets and lots put it on my "not preferred" CG list.

Take a look at Andersen Levelers. They are great under the wheels and save your lego blocks for your stabilizers.

Thanks. I have seen them but never really looked at them. Do they really work as good as the video depicts?

Personally I like them, especially on dirt. They tend to kick out on pavement. I carry a couple of small rubber mats the keep them from sliding on pavement.

thanks for the heads up very helpful make sure i have enough to level her out.... yeah when we go to williamsburg for bush gardens a lot of time we just look to park and sleep.... american heritage was the cheapest but really close together but it served the purpose.... as we spent early morning to late at night at the parks.... this campground was the cheapest for five nights so figured we would try it... when we go other places the grounds and amenities are important so the cost doesnt play a part as much.... we just started going so often every other week for few days that it was hard to justify paying for campsite and amenities when we didnt use them. i have no clue what site we would have its a 35' fifth wheel so i hope i can get to it

Headed to Harpers Ferry WV KOA for a 4 day stay on Thursday. We haven’t stayed there before and the KOAs are a little too crowded for my taste but this is the first trip of the year so we are playing it safe and easy.

Went to Sam A Baker State Park, Patterson, MO. Park was 1/3 full overall. The "new" loop we were in was full but with forecast of rain, the campers started leaving last night. We were last ones in the loop Noon. Not sure why people have to get up early on Sunday morning to hurry home. Yes - I realize it is Sunday and folks probably get back for church...but the reason for getting away is to relax!
