Let me know what you think of the park. It isn't far from my in-laws and I have considered staying there.

Are you staying right in Bend? We spent several days at Crown Villa resort there in June on the way north — it was excellent. But it looks like plenty of other nice spots to camp in the area.

So, I didn’t think I was an RV park type, but we’re really enjoying Angel Fire RV Resort in NM. They have the nicest staff. Sites are great. Hot tub, waffles in the AM, and huge dog run. Centrally located to Taos and Red River.

Mt. Pisgah Campgrounds, Blue Ridge Parkway

I am interested in other accounts of tall fifth wheels on the Blue Ridge. We drove US176 through Waynesville, via Main Street - thanks Garmin and Google Maps both!, to and from the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I use LowClearances.com POI for both the Garmin and Google Maps. I had warning of the 13'9" of the US 176 under the Blue Ridge and the Garmin flashed red warnings at the Mt Pisgah Inn, telling me to turn around, there was a tunnel that was too low ahead. I wasn't real pleased with US176 going up, but coming down wasn't nearly as bad as I feared.

We camped on the "A" loop - were able to get a spot as First Come, First Served. Arrived Friday around 1PM, and there were still a few pull through's available. Lots were not large, but worked. No power or water (at site), but you can fill your water at the park.

The park is somewhat tight, but were were able to get in and out all right We had an enjoyable time, I was able to play with serveral new "toys". We used two Honda EU2200i generators in paralell to run the main A/C on Friday. I haven't invested in the Micro Air Easystart yet. The generators had no issues running the main A/C, did not want to try the front A/C. On Saturday, weather was much cooler - rain/mist and fog all day. We went to Asheville for lunch and wandering around early afternoon, and fill up on diesel.

By evening, had to run the furnace, a first for this camper, beause the kids were too cold. The "kids" were 25 to 15. We have unscrewed the table from the slide floor, and use that space for a queen mattres, and are able to fit a second queen mattress between the fireplace and chairs - more comfortable, and larger, than the tri-fold couch. We simply move the table around as needed - leave it in place during the day.

I tried the Togo on site - had already used it at home to test - but it was unable to pull the WiFi from the lodge and was unable to pull a cell signal. No phone signal on ATT or Verizon phones.

We spent this past long weekend (Oct. 3-6) at Old Highway 86 Park on Table Rock Lake in Southern Missouri.

Been here many times, close to my job and home so its a favorite. Nice hikes around the lakes and decent amount of electric sites. Only negative is only one fresh water fill near the office so don't forget to fill up before you head to the loops ! Don't know about the restrooms, never went inside one.

This time of the year all the birds are gone except for a few nuthatches and chickadees but plenty of deer roaming around.

Thanks, we will keep it in mind. My in-laws are just outside Binghamton proper in Hillcrest. We traditionally stay at Lakeside Campground in Windsor. But are always looking for options.

I went about 6 yrs ago in our 33’ TT. Kids loved it & for me the best part was that my AT&T cell phone had no service there. I know that our site says it’ll accommodate a 47” RV...I’ll report back and let you know.

Escondido Draw Recreation Area in Texas.
New OHV park just Southeast of Sheffield Texas.

Taking the Jeep down on the trailer to play hard on the trails in the area.

Standby for pictures of broken parts!

Were in site 22...great weather & great campground with full hookups...only problem is I got tired of hauling around 4 sections of stinky slinky and left 2 sections at home in outside shed. I figured I’ve never used them, so why haul them around? Well...I need a 3rd section at this site...so after lunch it’ll be off to Walmart!

Also, it is very tight in here! So watch carefully. I went of the roadway (if you can call it that) and bent my driver side rear foot pad and it took off the snap pad.

We are at a local campground. Our kids have hockey ave softball games so we had to stay close. Last camp out of the season but we have some friends in the CG that are on the maiden voyage with a brand new 5er.
