For four hours we were in ine spot stuck in traffic on I 10 just east of Junction TX
Lots of semis jackknifed
in the ditch
I figured we might have to call it a campsite

Four inches of snow and worse ice
Iced over cacti are nice
Have reservations at Big Bend NP if it stays open
10 degrees and snow in the forecast

I had an overnight snow in Pigeon Forge a few years ago ruin my slide topper. I woke up to about 6" on my camper and my slide topper was never the same. When I bought my present camper I did not get slide toppers. I carry a 7 foot collapsible ladder that I clean the slides before I close them.

Beautiful country. I have never had the opportunity to hunt javelina, do you spot hunt or use dogs?

Thank you for the tip. We all had something different and split the pecan crusted chicken salad. The SCALLOPS FLORENTINE was the best. Will be our favorite for this area.

You are welcome. Just talking about the restaurant makes me hungry for it. I can't wait to go back.

No dogs. I think that is illegal. Spot and stalk is the best method. Fanny on a rock and binos to the eyes. They blend into their habitat well and if they don’t move they look just like a rock.

Great way to watch a sunrise. Good luck on the hunt!

DW and I are going over to Lawsons landing ( Tomales Bay CA.). For 5 days. Feb. 22 to 26. I almost feel guilty about this next little piece of information, highs low 60's lows 40ish. This was a spur of the moment thing and it looks like we will have this place pretty much to ourselves for most of our stay. It starts to get busy Friday.

Well we just moved last week from southern California to Montana, snowing ateady right now and has just warmed up to around 25 degrees. Hoping for our furniture delivery some day soon but really cool where we live now. Will be like camping every day. The other day we stood at our front window for a couple hours watching the bald and golden eagles, several of them, hunting along the Clark Fork Yellowstone River across the road from our house.

We were supposed to go to Natural Falls SP in NE OK in 2 weeks, but after our weather here in N TX the DW refused to go North! So I was able to get us 1 week at the KOA down in San Antonio's for the DD's spring break.

We’re headed for Dauphin Island, AL for a long weekend. Should be sunny and mild.
