Kinda glad not to be camping. Glad for wood stove at home. It is cold and rainy. We need the rainy.

First time at Champion Riverside Resort. Seems a little more atune to the partying crowd. Bar, live band,... not bad, just not our scene. Still a good time; nice people and glamping with a fire for s'mores is good. Dirt roads throughout, CG. Hours of cleaning making the TT and TV look real good only to have it all covered in dust the first night. Oh well. Guess most CGs are like this. I've been spoiled glamping where the roads are paved.
Have a happy fourth!

Actually just got back, and cheated and stayed in a cabin with the granddaughters. At Lake Siskiyou in the shadow of (now snowless) Mt. Shasta. The 25k-acre Lava Fire was burning in the background to the left of the mountain, which is 14,000 feet high.

We are heading to Country View Campground in Mukwonago, WI for the weekend with some friends. We will be spending the day at Old World Wisconsin, an excellent living history village.

Camping de la Diable in Mont Tremblant, Quebec. Great campsite, come here every year. Trying to get set up in the pouring rain with my right leg in a boot to protect my torn Achilles tendon and discover that someone has stolen the stinky slinky from the tube under the trailer and the spare out of the bumper...

Seboomook Wilderness Campground. The name is accurate. 35 miles of logging roads at 15 mph.
No internet. No phone. Electric service via campground generator and water supply via well. Both are finicky, You want TV forgeddaboutit.

Best campground we have ever stayed at . Waterfront sites on Moosehead Lake ME and wonderful beach for swimming.

Run by retired Maine Game Wardens. No hanky panky but lots of round the campfire stories

Outstanding! Thanks for the tip. We will definitely check this out. Sounds like a great place to "chillax".

How small of a hook do you need to catch flies? lol I just took a couple of minutes to explain how fly fishing works to my daughter who's 14. I've never done it, but have seen my dad and uncle do it when I was a kid.

The Lighthouse RV park at Cedar Point. Pricey, at $144/nt, but it’s for our two teenager grand-daughters. Two nights only, thank you.

I'm a beginner..............only 6 months into it. But love it. I was always a saltwater fisherman but at my age I like to lay back and relax on lakes and rivers.

Where are you camping this weekend?

Ha, or at least some drinks. Correction: $124/night. My bad. Yesterday, a quarter pound burger(no lettuce) tiny bag of chips, 16 oz coke $15. A very well kept rv park nonetheless. There were other new concrete sites with large built in, high end stainless propane grills. They could be higher.
