Nicest facilities I have seen in any RV park, so far.
Are all the sites close together and in the open? I went to the website, couldn't find a map -- which seems strange -- but an overhead shot showed tight sunny sites.

Headed to Rock Springs, WY for the Escapees yearly Escapade…first time going…hear it’s a blast (?)Just left South Lake Tahoe RV park (TT-Encore) two days early due to bad park electric- Site 167 …
EMS shut down in afternoon starting around 1300 and lasting to around 2000 hrs - 102 volts max during that period… Camp staff just said its old electrical grid and loaded with all rvs acs going…was not a good experience in 103deg heat…

Would that be Clinton Lake, just outside of Lawrence, KS?

And would your username of "C&R" by chance have anything to do with C&R Manufacturing in Shawnee? If so, I've worked for Gill Studios for a good many years....

Yeah, 4th of July was hiked up, but why now?? And we're taking off for Denver. But at least it's just in the minivan and not pulling the TT.

Maybe because everyone and his brother is back out on the road -- traveling, going to work, etc.? A lot more demand than last year, and I'd bet even 2 years ago, at least in our neck of the woods.

Perfect match IMO. Gas mileage difficult to gauge when you are pulling at slow speed but seemed to be around 12-14 mpg. We drove280 miles between fill ups. Gas consumption was important to us as fuel depots are far apart and there are only two in the North Maine Woods( same for stores which are very limited in supplies..nothing fresh)

Pulled well on the several 9 percent grades( Yes we have 12 percent in the East but the duration is much shorter than in the West) on dirt as well as loose just graded soil.

Aah and the solar panels finally did their job.. Our site was in full sun even though every day was not totally sunny . We were glad no longer to we have to kneel on the ground to hitch up. We had several inches of rain and the ground became very soggy. The campsites are all on grass.

We saw a trailer the same size as ours pulled by a Hyundai SUV and ... it was a miracle they did not tear out their oil pan.

It is a nice place, everything is concrete and paved, most each site has those thin tall trees between for privacy. Correction- $124/night w/taxes. Campground and resort get early 9a entry 1 hr ahead of general public, so the kids and/or adults get a shorter line to the coasters. However, there were a few rain delays, as it rained on us three days in a row, or the whole trip. The granddaughters had a great time.

Buffalo Bill State Park, near Cody, WY. We will be there this coming Fri - Mon. Probably take a day trip into Yellowstone, and hit the nightly Rodeo in Cody.

Okatoma Resort & RV Park near Hattiesburg, MS for the night. Recently purchased by KOA and they’ve definitely been sprucing things up.
