Thanks for your service Dan! Will be leaving Livingston, TX next Wednesday, stopping in Duson, LA for three days, then driving through Louisiana to get to Summerdale, AL. Hope the interstate will be navigable by then.

The interstates will be fine. Im down south in Thibodaux, not sure where you are headed. Roads are passable, but be alert for some down power poles in one lane or another on side roads. No powers down here (hospital running on generator), so no stop lights. We drive to Houma (about 40 min drive) when we need to refuel our LEO vehicles.

Indiana State Fairgrounds, Indianapolis. Decent, safe, full hookup parking spot, convenient to town. We got to watch a Laser Light show while we were hooking up last night.

We're in the middle of our trip thru the western part of the UP of Michigan. (We visited the eastern UP last year.)
From home to Michigan we stayed at a Harvest Host in Merrill Wisconsin, Aspire Ranch. Very nice boondocking spot at a horse ranch.
Our first campground was five days in the Porcupine Mountains at Union Bay Campground. Lake of the Clouds is nearby.
Then three days at McLain State Park in Hancock over Labor Day weekend.
Leaving today for four days at Fort Wilkins State Park in Copper Harbor. There is a mid-1800's fort there plus two lighthouses.
Then on to Fayette State Park for three nights. On the grounds is a historic townsite that was once a bustling iron smelting industrial community. Also nearby is Kitch-iti-kipi, Michigan's largest natural freshwater spring.
Out last stop will be at Wells State Park for one night to break up the trip home.
The two Michigan State Parks we have stayed at so far have been great. While the parks were full, we were able to enjoy quite campfires with no rowdy/noisy neighbors. The facilities are very clean, even the pit toilets.

Did you mean Lander. If so we have stayed in that park. The back in spots with the big grass area behind are pretty nice. The hook up were quite the stretch though.

Yup that is where I am at the big corner back in spot with the big grass field. Only here one night so we walked into town to Cowfish for dinner. What a view we have.
