Delaware State Park campground. Leaves are a changin!!! Nuts are a droppin!!!! Made sure to avoid booking a pad with a walnut, hickory, or oat tree heavy with nuts. Friday night looks to be prime for a savory pot of chili over the campfire.

KOA at South Myrtle Beach for a reunion. Very nice camp, not too big, not too small. Lots of trees, and the campsites are great with all the amenities. Staff is very friendly as well

We will be heading to Jubilee College State Park northwest of Peoria, IL this afternoon to see family. This will be our last camping trip of the season. We were able to get 28 nights in this year, even with cancelling two weekend trips. I think that is a record for us.

Poking at a campfire with a stick is one of life's great satisfactions.

In Shenandoah National Park. Leaves were fantastic Monday across the low valleys. Rain took some down yesterday but still gorgeous. Saw this great robotic, transformer guy in Warrentown, VA.

Favorite Place to RV?

Well my DW and I are trying to decide a nice place to spend some time this summer. We have worked the Rockies pretty hard the last several years and we’re thinking of going somewhere totally different. We live in NE Texas so going north is a certain, but N, NE, or slightly NW is the question.

Just thought I’d ask your number one favorite place to visit and see if it might give us some ideas. All input is appreciated.

Anything that doesn't look like home We have pines loons and lakes. Trees. So I like the desert in winter. Big Bend was awesome even though we seemed to have brought snow and ice with us with its accompanied mayhem that riled locals last Feb. Death Valley too. Wouldnt want to do either in the summer. Death Valley in Feb was 30-60 degrees.

You can come to my area in Maine or better yet further North where there is real wilderness. Skip Bar Harbor.

Give us a shout out up here in Alabama Hills sometime. Beautiful up here all week. Although we did feel a small earthquake this morning. Sitting here with a view of Mt. Whitney, 75 degrees, very peaceful, makes the wine really shine.
