Sad to say I'll be home. My wife's schedule won't allow us to get the camper out until the end of June. I'm getting antsy though. I've already cleaned and organized it twice in the past 10 days. Inspected the roof, dewinterized, re-stocked the necessaties, charged the battery, checked tire pressures, ran all systems, sat in it for an hour with the AC watched a ballgame and drank a cold one or was it two or three (who's counting anyway).

We took our long weekend last weekend in order to avoid the crowds. Went to The Cove Palisades State Park in central Oregon. Weather had it's ups and downs but was a great trip. Here's a couple pics - in the first one you can see the road winding across the middle of the island and to the left - the campground was tucked just on the backside of the hill:

Going nowhere for Memorial weekend - too many people out there. Took our first trip of the new season last week, instead.

Nowhere. It's 'camp driveway' for a while longer. So is that now-here or no-where?

The place we found is pretty much off the beaten path and actually still has a few open spots left. So a 1 hour drive up 95 shouldn't be that bad. We will NOT be at Disney, the theme parks and probably not the beach. Sailor Jerry and I will be hanging out in the shade watching the campground activities.

We are set up at University Station RV Resort in Auburn, Al right in the middle of a bunch of Auburn Tigers. This is their tail gate city for all the Auburn games as we are only about a half mile from the stadium. Over 800 sites in this park and they are all full for games. They have 200 folks coming in tomorrow for their annual Blue Grass on the Plains Festival so we have to be out by 10 am! Yuck. We normally would not even be camping this week but we have a granddaughter getting married tonight so made a camping trip out of it.
Remember why we have all these freedoms and give thanks to all our Veterans who have served, are serving, and especially those who gave the ultimate sacrifice or are still missing in action.

Can't believe it . We are at a KOA in New Mexico. Its essentially a parking lot though staff is nice

The place is packed. Its not a park.. its on the outskirts of a city. We're here to sightsee.. the others too?

Very small world indeed. We're about 5 sites down from you. Nice looking rig you have.

We are leaving Wednesday for Logger Campground at Stampede Reservoir in Northern California for a 5 day stay. We have a group of five trailers going all camping in the same area. Going to do a little hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking and jet skiing. Oh and probably consume a few adult beverages while we're at it just for good measure.

Cheers!
