Where did you buy your mattress?

I'm looking to replace my mattress.
I remember a member suggesting a mattress store online, I can't remember where I saw the post with the link.

Anyone with suggestions on where to buy a good priced mattress?

Thanks everyone!

OK, sorry if this is a stupid question, but will a regular (non-RV) mattress still bend so that the lower half of the bed can be lifted to access storage underneath?

I'm pretty sure it'll bend enough.
My question should have included I would like a foam mattress.

I just bought replacement bunk mattresses. MattressInsider.com. They were great to do business with. I recommend them.

We got ours from a local Sleep Number store. I have never seen one that would not bed that little on a rv bed.

We got this one from Amazon. We'll sleep on it 4 nights starting Friday.

Came rolled up and compressed in a rectangular box. Easy peasy.

Amazon - ours is a Short Queen Serenia.... $269 free ship..... Okay, my wife says it sleeps great. I say it's good but I'm heavy. However, I love, love this mattress bc I can walk and move normally the next day after a nights sleep. I'd would pay X4 just for being able to move normally in the am. We trashed the Denver Torture Mattress.

May I suggest considering attending one of the many Memorial Day mattress sales going on nationwide? I actually chatted online with an Ortho Matress rep. and asked if they offer an RV short queen and do they offer special Mem. Day discounts on suchl? The rep. specified that they do offer custom sizes and there are discounts however, the custom sizes are more money compared to the standard sizes. I suggest window shopping online at venues such as Ebay, Amazon, etc. in order to gauge pricing followed by actually attending one of these Memorial Day sales so you can actually lay on the different mattresses and once you find the one that works for you, start to wheel and deal. You can always walk out if the price is not right.

We just bought a 10" memory foam mattress from Sam's Club and it fits perfect. It is very comfortable and you still access the storage under the bed.

When shopping mattress's don't forget to compare the weight of your old one vs the weight of the new one.

Some of those newer foam ones are very heavy.

This is true. My Denver weighed nothing; my new memory foam one is quite the opposite. I had wondered if the extra weight would give my slideout trouble and I even had my wife standing at the foot of the bed ready to lift the mattress up to take some of the weight off. My slide came in on its own though.

I would be more concerned about additions to the weight of the trailer and the gas shocks that lift the bed for under storage.

I don't think I have gas shocks under my bed. I have the electrical components and other items under there; the platform is actually screwed down to the bed frame. I don't think Jayco wants me in there a whole lot ....

I'm always concerned about extra weight in my motorhome. I have around 2100 pounds of capacity in it, but every pound counts. In this particular case, we couldn't afford a sleep number bed for it and we absolutely had to do SOMETHING. I'll drop another 3 gallons of water in the driveway to help make up for some of the weight.
