Where do I find a tongue scale?

I don't really want to buy a tongue scale because after the first few trips I probably wont need it anymore. I cant find anyone that rents a tongue scale either.

I have passed a couple of "closed" weigh stations but every time I consider unhitching somebody drives up and makes me nervous.

Would appreciate your advice.

I know this does not help the OP since he is in the Seattle area and I am in Houston.

But if anyone in the Houston area would like to borrow a Sherline Tongue Weight Scale I have one and would be more then willing to loan it to another forum user.

How far are you from Tacoma? There are a couple CAT scales there.
