thanks crabman

I've looked in the usual places for this thermostat. Is there a normal standard place for this darn thing. Looked by the doors, by heater, inside cabinets I'm lost. Anything u can offer would be greatly appreciated.

It may be one of the old style with the temp control inside the front furnace access panel since that unit is probably around an 88-90 vintage.

Also welcome.

That would be inside, possibly under the fridge. If it's not then there should be a wall thermo someplace. Sorry I can't be more specific or helpful.

Did you find your t-stat. Alternatively you could try and trace from the furnace control board where the t-stat wire enters and follow it back to where they installed it on the wall.
