Thetford 35g smart tote/ 4 wheel. My waste tanks are 32 gallon and I didn't want to take a chance on an overflow.

We use a Tote-N-Store 32 gallon. More than enough for us and the price was right on Amazon.

We have found that the bigger the wheels the better the tote holds up.

I have Barker 42 gallon. I haven't used it yet, but will be using it come Spring Break. Will be camping with the wife, 2 kiddos, and the in-laws. I thought it would come in handy as the gray tank is 40 gallons, as is the black tank. I'll let you know how it works come March!

Have a TT with a few questions on waste totes ~ and guessing here that size matters:
1) Where/how do you store it when not in use or travelling - can it be secured on the A-frame?
2) What is the benefit to the 'wagon' handle vs. drag-bar?
3) Do you use your TV to haul the tote to the dump-station?
4) What features are most desirable?
I'm sure there are many more questions I should ask and welcome your thoughts on those too!

In my quest for an RV WASTE TOTE to accommodate our 30.5 gallon gray and black tanks - I've uncovered 3 vendors: Barker (27844 or 31342), Thetford (40520), and Tote-N-Stor (25609 or 20129). Has anyone come across independent articles reviewing/comparing the pros-and-cons? Rest assured, I am reading user comments found at Amazon - but was hoping for something more informational since this isn't a cheap purchase or fun thing to do.

I leave our tote under the TT or in my truck bed at the CG until I'm ready to use it. Most totes have a handle that just slips over the trailer hitch so you hook up and SLOWLY drive to the dump station. The totes with the dump opening on the bottom (when stood up to drain) seem to be the hardest to completely drain since the opening sits above the lowest part of the tank. Make sure you rinse it out well and add some bleach to kill the odor when you are don with your trip. Even a few cups of grey water left in the tote for a few weeks can smell terrible the next time you use it (don't ask me how I know). Also, lots of people either buy the upgrade models with rubber wheels or replace the plastic wheels with pneumatic wheels. The plastic wheels are hard and offer no cushion when traveling over rough surfaces and produce a loud noise when pulled down the road.

Baker 42 gallon 4 wheeler.I take the handle off and store it in the rear compartment on my trailer.I only use it for grey water.I place it in my truck bed and use a 110v pump and hoses to pump the grey water into it.I have 4 10 foot sections of sewer Line in my trailers bumper 2 are dedicated for the tote tank.
