For my 2006 Jayco, I use Meguires RV/Boat Cleaner & Wax # 50. The items looks like: http://www.autogeek.net/boat-cleaner-wax.html If my local boating stores don't have any remaining bottles, I use Meguires Auto formula instead. Its details are: http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/detail/MEG+A1216 IMO, RV/Boat or Auto Cleaner / Auto wax works great. Especially using "wax on / wax off" arm movements.

Just like on my autos, this is a "wax on / wax off" arm movement job. Meguires dries white in the hard to get corners (white on white trailer cannot be seen) and I do one side each weekend. At end of 3 weeks, my entire 29' TT is done. During fall months before going into winter storage, I apply the wax as usual and let dry. I do NOT wipe it off. It leaves a white film - which gives better protection during winter storage months. In the spring, I re-wax it, and wipe all wax off in the spring.

I used to apply Turtle Wax (wax on / wax off method as well) but that stuff dries green in the hard to get corners. Green on white can be seen and looks like $%^.

Meguires works for me. Others use different wax and "spray on" method. I found the combined "wax on / wax off" cleaning and waxing `old school` arm movement method the best.

Hope this helps in your research....

I will second the use of Meguires!
I have used it on my cars, trucks and trailer for the past 12 years.
Well .... the trailer for the past 3 years.
Others will tell you that 303 products are better or just as good, but I have never used their products so I will not comment on the results.

The company that washed/waxed our tt last month used Blue Coral wash and wax soap (Walmart). and Mister Clean spot free rinse. I think he used Blue Coral wax. Dicor roof treatment. Can't say attest to whether this is the best to use, but this was the second time since picking up tt that this guy did the once over for us, and there doesn't seem to be any problems.

Just finished waxing our Hybrid with Meguiars Flagship Premium Marine Wax. Easy on and easy off, great shine and results in a very slick surface.

I guess the type of surface one is waxing may have some influence on the ease of application and results.

My '05' Eagle has the Filon "somewhat" smooth surface (as did my '99' Eagle), but IMO Filon isn't as nice and smooth as a fiberglass/gel coat surface.

I tried using different waxes over the years, paste, liquid, etc., on the Filon surface with mixed results, but tried 303 Aerospace Protectant a number of years ago and never switched. It's real easy to apply, has true UV protection, and doesn't damage decals over time like many waxes will.

The '303' requires a couple of applications during the camping season, but it only takes me 30 minutes to do my entire TT. A gallon of the stuff lasts me a number of years, and I use it on other surfaces as well (TV tonneau cover, etc.).

I spray the surface with '303' and spread around by hand with a with a typical wax applicator pad, let dry a little, and wipe over with a damp towel to spread around any streaks.

Works for me

Bob

Premium RV wash from camping world. Wax two times a year using a liquid carnauba wax (aluminum siding) beginning of season and end of season. For added bug protection I place three coats of wax on front of trailer for easier bug removal.

Thanks Everyone! we ended up this time using Meguiars auto wax as we don't have a camping supply store close to us and we were ready to get this task done as our unit had never been waxed but next time I think we will pick some up from camping world
