White Hawk Soft Floor Repair Completed

SWMBO* and I went to Blade RV today to retrieve our White Hawk. As you may recall from earlier posts, our 2015 20MRB not only had a few soft spots in the floor but also was uneven in a few spots.

This problem was addressed once during the 2-year warranty and this may be why Jayco agreed to fix the problem even though the warranty had expired last March.

SWMBO has a very critical eye and when we arrived, she entered the trailer expecting to find something not done to her satisfaction. Happy to report that she not only didn't find anything wrong but was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the work performed! We asked to speak to the tech responsible for the work. Richard came out of the service shop and the wife thanked him for the great job that he had done. Richard has been an RV tech for 43 years, he really knows his stuff!

Because the old floor had to be removed to do the repair, we had to pick out a new floor covering in new trailers. We think the 2017 color blends okay with the 2015 interior. With the new floor going around counters instead of under, as when a trailer is being constructed, Richard put down molding wherever the new floor met a wall.

We couldn't be more pleased and our thanks go to Carl and his service department crew at Blade RV!

Glad they covered it and you didn't have to pay or do the work yourself - it is not a fun job.

Dirty Harry once said, "a man needs to know his limitations." I have 10 thumbs and could never do a job like this. (Besides being a descendant of the "Murphy's Law" Murphy)

Thanks for all of the kind words.
