WhiteHawk TV Question
Has anyone received a Continu.us brand television in their TT? I took delivery of a WhiteHawk a few weeks ago from Orlando RV. The TV in it was a continu.us brand 26 inch TV. It had no remote and they said they would order one for me. It is such a minor brand, universal remotes cannot control it. The TV's in all the WhiteHawks on the lot are RCA brand. I cannot even find information on the internet on this continu.us brand and I told them I wanted the RCA that I ordered. Orlando RV is trying to tell me that Jayco sometimes ship with continu.us TVs. The delivery sheet that came with the camper says the unit was shipped with an RCA. I believe they lost this TV on their lot and replaced it with this no name brand. Any input?

We got an RCA with our White Hawk...I'd definitely call Jayco.

Update on the WhiteHawk TV. Looking at the "Major Component List" that I received at my demo, it list a 26" RCA LCD 26LA33RQ W/RMT. It list the model as 26LA33RQ and a serial number. Funny thing is the model does not match the continu.us TV model, but the serial number does. I called Jayco and they looked it up for me. She said yes, my WhiteHawk was shipped with the Continu.us brand TV. She said Jayco has switched to the continu.us brand. This normally would not bother me except this contiu.us TV seems to be very low quality. The RCA jacks on the back are already loose and seemed tentatively attached to the inside of the TV. When you try to attach an RCA cable the jacks start to push into the set. I also debated when I ordered the TT on getting the TV or just buying my own. Had I known it would have been an off brand I would have passed and purchased my own. So for future WhiteHawk special orders, consider if you want to get this questionable TV for the cost.

Well that's a bummer Bill. I went online and took a look at pictures from some dealers that have the 2013 Whitehawks and they do have a different tv from the RCA.
Jayco trying to save money with a no name brand tv maybe? Could backfire if so.

We have a 2013 White Hawk 26DSRB, and our TV is an RCA 26LA30RQ. I thought it was, but you put a doubt in my mind. I went out to the TT and looked. We have an RCA TV. I think I would contact Jayco again to see if they would make it right or maybe buy back that TV and you purchase the one you want on your own.

Sorry to revive such an old post, but I'm curious about how this television has held up? Our new JayFlight comes with a Continu.us brand as well. I'm thinking if it lasts 2 years I'll call it a win and replace it with something better. Just wondering how yours has held up?

My White Hawk was delivered with an RCA 26" LCD HDTV out of the box and installed by the dealer while I was there. The "Technology Package" option didn't specify brand but I was satisfied with the product delivered. I wouldn't have been happy if it hadn't included a remote.

Just got a 2013 unit and it had the contino.us brand TV. I bought the TV for rainy days and not picture quality.

Our 2009 32BHDS came with a 19" Sharp, what I would now days consider a decent brand (used to be complete junk). The TV had a good picture. It lasted 2 years before the tuner went out of it. We moved it to the and the kids play their PS2 on it when it rains or late at night. In its place we bought a 24" TV from HH Gregg. The cheapest we could find. Paid $169 last year for it it. Pretty much an off brand, but so far it is doing well.

We just purchased a 2013 White Hawk and it came with the Continu.us 26" LED TV. If anyone is interested, here is a link to their website http://continu.us/. If you click the contact link, there is address and phone # info.
The TV is an LED, but according to the website is a 720p display resolution. I didn't notice if a supplied remote comes with the TV. Maybe the OP can contact them and see if they'll send a remote.
BTW: the website leaves much to be desired.

We have an Eagle 2013 and it came with the 32" Continu•us LED TV. For the little time we got to use it this season it worked well. I checked the manual and it recommends the tv to be stored at 32 degrees or above. So I figured I would take it out and mount it in the house for the winter. Hooked it up to our FIOS using a HDMI connection and it has a very nice picture, considering it is just 720p. Now I wish I could find the TV Remote Codes so I could program my other remote to control it.
I tried contacting the company thru their web site but never heard back, oh well.
Hope the original poster gets his remote.

For what it's worth, 720p is fine on a smaller TV. Even on a larger TV, 720p is probably better then the 1080i you would get from cable. I keep all my tvs at 720p.

Bamm 737: We picked up our new White Hawk from Orlando RV today. We went through orientation and lo and behold, we had a remote for the Continu. US TV and the Jensen system. Someone (Orlando RV) would appear to owe you a remote.

Our Continu.us Televisions can be used with any universal remote control. You should be able to use the standard "RCA" codes from the universal remote's manual.
