Helped my brother pull up his Jay Flight BP
yesterday, noticed 2 tires w cracks. He will replace those, cleaned today w power washer (in a cold lite rain) and looks good. He will be fishing at Greers Ferry next week staying in Devils Fork. The crappie are hot right now. Tempted to camp w him.

Beck and I are preparing for first official trip in June to Lake Catherine near Hot Springs AR. .
There's a May-June Big Catch challenge on Lake Hamilton and Lake Catherine with tagged fish, one named Big Al worth $15000. Will be going after Big Al.
(First trip was a forced trip... We spent a cold wet week on Lake Sardis in March to use a MS State Parks credit that was expiring.)
Had a flat to replace last week on my Northpoint, will replace another tire before we hit the road. Will sweep out dead ladybugs (Asian beetles) clean up, and retrieve kayaks from storage. Replaced batteries already. Need to replace water filter. Other than that, READY to GO.

Our shake down trip starts Monday, short trip to a local lake with friends our annual opening up the campground week. Have been trying to get things ready, this year I have been sick with Brochitis for 3weeks so I hired a Mobil tech to come out and do some basic maintenance on appliance replace fabric on a slide awning. He caulked the rear fairing because it was getting old. He must have used old or cheap caulk it separated at the seam between fairing and wall...my old caulk job was at least a waterproof seal jeez. Anyway we will see what we missed fixing and packing next week.

First trip with new RV

Just took the cover off the the Jay Feather we purchased last fall. We bought it late October and were unable to get it out for a maiden voyage before winter hit. The end of this month we and a few of our friends are headed over to Wala Wala, WA to an RV park near the city center. From there it is an easy walk to where we can eat drink and be merry in Washington wine country for an extended spring weekend. Not exactly camping but should be a good first trip in the new rig.

Took the White Hawk to the dealer yesterday to have them repack the axles and give it a roof inspection (I'm getting too old for that stuff). They did do a minor roof repair (maybe call it a preventive maintenance).

I made the appointment a month ago. When I took the rig in, the service writer gave me a funny look when I asked what time it might be done. She told me I didn't mention I was going to wait for the work to be done and even showed me her notes from when I called. Okay, I will mention that in the future,

They were able to do all of the work and I had the trailer back in less than 6 hours. My thanks to Blade RV in Mt. Vernon WA. for taking care of me and not having to make another 140 mile round trip to pick up my trailer!

Sanitized the water system today. Ran water through to remove anti freeze then bleached water let sit an hour and a half and rinsed out the system. All set for the end of the month first trip

We are heading out west to Colorado in 60 days. Tarp off, RV was in for brake check and the tow vehicle had its annual check. Totally ready to head west. But the weather in Michigan is unbearable. But to be expected in April.

I’m making plans to bring the Pinnacle home from storage next weekend. It is time to de-winterize the water system and wake up all the systems from their long winter nap. Also plan to mount tubes underneath for sewer hoses and give it a good washing. Our first outing is to Brown County, KOA.

A rainy day camping is better than a beautiful day sitting in the office .

Just got back and loved “4 GUYS RV PARK”. All full hookups with nice gravel lots and very clean.
Also I finally learned to do the winterizing & de-winterize myself this year and was surprised how easy-peasy it was to do! That’s a quick $100 savings, not to mention having to drag TT to dealer & back (even though I’m only 10-15 minutes away).

First trip of the year was the 1st weekend in January. Been on 5 since.

Gotta love the Arizona high country! 3 or 4 days of snow and the longest it lasted was 4 days!

I'm planning on picking ours up and bringing it home this weekend to start getting it ready for the season. That is if the storage lot isn't too muddy. We've had a LOT of rain in SE Michigan the last couple of weeks.
