I think most people RV so they can take their pets with them. They won't leave home without their pets. A friend recently bought a $100K class C because she wanted to take her dogs with her. He didn't have a choice and she wouldn't dream of a used one.

Our beloved doxie “Cookie” (aka “the Princess”) was our companion until we lost her to time. She was an expert camper, always on alert for dangers such as wild turkey, deer, other campers . . .

We have traveled for years in our trailers with our pets, we think it’s a win win for both us and them.

We are a bit different. When we visit family in SW Missouri, there are absolutely no fences (okay, cattle fencing doesn't count) and their dogs are aware of their limits (which truly aren't any!). So we have to leave our Great Dane home with our daughter. We can't have her following the other 4 dogs to wherever on the property they are going - honestly, they don't stay on the property and are known to chase coyotes or other animals all over. Chaining her isn't an option either.

We do take our 3 rescued cats. Do they like to travel? Ha...the vet actually put one on Prozac because she cries so much. Her sister loves to travel and just takes it all in. And the male gets under his bed and hides from everyone.
