Not me and I’m perfectly happy with that. I enjoy off season and spending every weekend at my home in the country surrounded by farmland...

We will be. We're going to be in Orlando at a bowl game on the 28th, so we'll just stay another week so DW can visit her 95 year old mother and her sister/BIL.

Not us because we'd freeze our butts off! Winter sucks and it's been winter here for the last 3 weeks and winter doesn't even start for another week. Good thing about Dec 21st is you turn the corner and the days start getting longer. Rant over.

I am planning to take trailer, wife, daughter, and SIL on a boondocking adventure between Christmas and New Years. Will spend Christmas with family in So Cal and then head east over to the desert.

Well, we are scheduled to arrive @ The Pinery Provincial Park on the Friday night, and stay till NewYears day ( Monday), we are leaving the Jayco home .... The Pinery has about a dozen Yurts you can rent. Now, i say we are scheduled, but not sure at this time if it will happen ..... you see, there are 3 Indians who have parked a big trailer at the entrance of the park and are protesting because they believe their ancestors owned the land, and they want it back ..... so, for the safety of campers / day use people, they have closed the park. This began back in early November, since than, they have re-opened for day use, but not for overnite camping. I'm gonna tell you, i think this is the biggest bunch of bull....! These people own nothing...... about 15 years ago they did the same thing in another provincial park about 20 miles south, but it was a large group that protested.... in the end, one individual was killed by an OPP officer, the Ontario Government handed them over the land, and today, it is a disaster to say the least. They are never satisfied. I'm sure if you went by the Pinery right now, the 3 individuals would not be there.... to cold! I say, if you wanna stay, we'll put you to work, and than see how long they hang around. Now, some may read this and think i may be racist, i'm not ..... what bothers me is, if it were you and i doing this, we'd be in jail, or facing heavy fines. We, the tax payers in Ontario, the people who visit the park on a regular basis and support it, are the ones losing out....it's just not right. Ontario Parks / Ontario Government should not allow this to happen.... Oh, but the good thing is, Ontario Parks is happy to tell you they will refund your whole reservation. Thats so nice of them, how do they do it?? They sit on my money for 5 months, than they will reimburse the total amount, no outragious cancellation fees like we get charged if we have to cancel a reservation for some reason. At the end of the day, these people who run / work for Ontario Parks don't give a sh.. , heck, most have probably never stepped into a park, and we continue to pay there high fees, and they reep the benefits! Sorry, just venting knowing we may not see NewYears Eve there

I agree with you 100%. The indians do the same thing here in the northern US, they have been given 1000s of acres of land and don't do much with it, lease most to outside ranchers. They get most of their health care taken of, they do nothing but drink and do drugs, most don't work.
