Why do we have separate grey and black tanks - why not one big tank?

At a campground I just stick the sewer hose into its hole and open both. Never had a problem thus far and I never dump any type of water on the ground. I also use the bathhouse for number 2. Gross to me. Otherwise I have mostly grey so both are open. I guess to each his own.

Besides whether you can dump grey or not if you had only one tank you would have over 1500 lbs ( 8 lbs a gallon more or less) in one tank the tack would have to be heavier and secured better. That is alot of weight at one point. If you were going down round it would be alot of weight lashing around
