Why RV Terlet Paper? XXX RATED!
We prefer the softest, fluffiest, thickest TP money can buy on our tooshes. So far, it's caused zero problems for our septic system, and it's 20 years old. Since the RV paper has none of these properties, and is flushed out every few days anyway, and costs just slightly less than having your White Cloud personally monogrammed, can someone explain to us why we should entertain using it? We've used it exclusively for our first 30 nights in our new rig and our sensor clogged up quicker even with a flushing system than in our previous trailer which saw only regular TP.

I think any TP that is septic system safe will do nicely because it breaks down fast. We just use Scotts. No problems either.

Anything that is septic safe will do. We have only used the (special paper) a few times. A few rolls came with some of our new trailers.

I think as long as adequate water is used (and available) when flushing, the thicker ply TP seemed to work just as fine as the RV TP.
I dry camp a lot, so I'm in the habit of using single ply TP because I conserve on the flush water.
I did run into a couple comments on another forum about that the jury is still out as to weather the newer "green" chemicals will break down a "multi-ply" TP as fast as the RV single ply.

You should use RV toilet paper because it costs more and makes more money for whoever sells it to you. Almost all RV specialized products are like this. It's your way to contribute to the industry.
We use Scott single ply, and have had no problems with it.

RV products overpriced?!? I'll have to be careful. BTW, anyone ever shop at BoatsUS? They'd take a dollar beanbag ashtray, imprint an anchor on it a run it at five bucks. Of course, that was 20 years ago. They've probably overpriced it by now. Should have bought a bunch back then.

Boat US stores were bought out by West Marine. But the pricing policy remains. That being said, there are a few marine parts that have found a home on my fiver.
