Wifi Prep?

I have searched for this topic and can't find the answer, nor does the owner's manual cover it.

I have a 2024 Eagle HT 29RLC. The ceiling has a cover plate (see pic) with a wifi symbol on it. Listings for this trailer say "wifi prep" but don't say anything about it nor how to use it. The owners manual (2024 towables) is blank on this as well.

Any info appreciated.

It is most likely a 12 volt power source to run a Cellular to WIFI roof antenna.
It may also have a co-axial cable link to your TV connections for installing a roof TV antenna with amplifier.
Take the lid off and see what they gave you.

Under the cover should be a 12 volt power wire and the 3 tiny wires that plug into the Winegard WiFi device you have to buy separately. The Gateway 4G is currently $349 on their website.

True. I removed the little cap and installed the Gateway. Now I can get wifi from the campground and re-broadcast it inside your camper or if you insert a SIM card, it can get internet and broadcast your own wifi inside your camper.

Cellular data is a bit pricey from Winegard... it's pricey from almost anyone. I added a 5G Internet Router behind my TV to get internet and now my Gateway gets internet from that and re-broadcasts wifi inside my camper.

Six of one and half dozen from the other... I could probably have just skipped getting the Gateway since I'm using another product to get internet. I like the fact it's antenna is on the roof and it can grab free WIFI from the campground but with the other I have cheap TMobile. So I have both. lol
