Will Jayco customize a new RV that is being built?

I'm trying to find out if Jayco will NOT install a toilet in our new RV and plumb the black and grey tanks to be all grey tanks. We want a composting toilet right off the bat. Never want to use a black tank.

Anyone know?

Don't know if they will. But it could drastically reduce the people who might buy it from you when are tired of it.

I would get the regular config and cap the toilet portion inside the rv under the compost toilet. Get a valve that goes on the sewer hookup that could allow you to use the black tank as a grey tank by connecting them.

I was told NO CUSTOMIZATION when I toured Jayco. I would assume for the same reason a track stick and brick offers options but no customization, far too many chances for screw ups and costs way too much to supervise, make new plans etc for one unit. Repetitive operations and standardizations drives costs down.. custom no matter what drives costs up.

If you really want to know call Jayco and ask for the cell number of the rep for your area, they will give you an answer real quick.

I would talk to both your sales person and Jayco.

When I ordered my 2017 28BHBE, I was able to delete the kitchen skylight and the over the air tv antenna on the roof. I inquired about deleting the rear exterior door (that leads into the bathroom from the outside) and was told I could but I ended up keeping it. What they would not customize was adding a slide topper at the factory. Other model campers they would at the time.

Your request is more involved as you are looking for not just the toilet delete but also reconfiguring the plumbing. I doubt they would be willing to do that...

I don't know much about the composting toilets other than they have become very popular in the Van Camper world. They don't need any plumbing so no worries about freezing and only require a vent to the outside, saving lots of space that would have otherwise been dedicated to tanks, plumbing, etc.

I'm assuming that they would be great in a dedicated boondocking rig or one intended to stay off grid as long as possible.

I believe 'deletes' are possible,but not changes as you're talking about.
