Thats not too far from us but have never been there. Just looked at the website and the river looks nice to camp by. Any pros or cons you want to share about the park??

I hope it melts by April... supposed to move trailer out of it winter seasonal April 17th. Tires are in a solid 5/6 inches of ice and large snow/ice banks all around. Pics are from this weekend. Cant wait for winter to end even though I really enjoyed winter camping!.

This campground is a nice campground all around. They have a heated 80 deg.pool that is open opening day and have many activities for for all to get involved in.The campground has both seasonal and the weekend camper there and the area by the river is for the non seasonal. If you look at their map the sites in the entire area in the back are nice.My favorite is site #90 however the sites surrounding #90 are just as nice. What I really like about this CG is that the sites are spacious and are very wooded similar to that of a state park. They do have a camp store that sells wood but I suggest bringing some of your own as I haven't found any locals selling wood along the road.As far as price after you stay once you can keep the gate pass so any future stay will have a 20% discount which is nice.We usually go there a couple times in April but do most of our camping at the state parks once they open. Overall I give this place a two thumbs up and if you can make it opening weekend I suggest it as the bonfire they have is a great time.
I camped at the KOA down the road last year before we went to Rip Van Winkle and I wouldn't recommend that place.

Thought we were pretty much past any serious snow, and the weather man said "wintry mix" for Monday. We got 12" of that wintry mix. Even when it was still snowing, with about 8" on the ground, they were still saying "accumulation up to 4-6". HA ! The weather men should look out the window occasionally, just to keep from making fools of themselves. But then again, "meteorologists" are the only folks I know of that can be wrong more than 1/2 the time, and still keep their jobs.

Their weather models must have been out to lunch on the forecast.
The weather seems to be going in the wrong direction.
