What are G20 dark-tinted, safety-glass windows? I get the tinted part but what does G20 stand for and what makes the glass safety glass?

I think safety glass is the kind that shatters into small little 1/4" pieces as opposed to shattering with jagged edges. If it's the same option I ordered on my 2002, the tint isn't very dark.
