Windows open while traveling?

I was wondering what the consensus is out there for traveling with the windows open slightly. I thought this might make it a little cooler till we get power hooked up and the AC running.

We keep all windows closed but because we have a vent cover (Maxx Air) the vent stays open.

Did this in the motorhome once. My daughter was about 1 1/2 years old. We wondered what was going on when she started really laughing hard. From her strapped in car seat she could the roll of paper towel unrolling and about 12 feet of it whipping around the coach!

Windows open while traveling?

I installed a MaxxAir Fan Mate cover and leave the bathroom roof vent open. Depending on your route, dirt/dust kick up from the TV would probably find it's way into the open windows.

And from personal experience I can say that leaving a trailer window open when towing can damage blinds due to the force of the wind blowing through the open window.

I must travel dusty highways, if I leave my vent open (w/MaxxAir cover) there is a thin layer of dust on the counter tops and table.
