Winterizing Hack

Thought I’d try reducing the amount of pink used to winterize our Pinnacle. So now instead of using 2 1/2 gal leaving a half full used jug in the basement, I’ll have a 2/3 used jug.
Insert sarcastic tone here - The savings is huge.

Probably not from the factory. There is a valve on each side of the filter housing, but that's so that you can service the filter without turning off your water.

I believe some users have installed a bypass, and I think that's not a bad idea.

But I also appreciate that hack; no sense wasting AF in that filter housing.

That RV anti-freeze is expensive stuff. Always nice to save a few Shekels.

Nope, no factory installed bypass nor are there valves on either side of the filter housing for servicing. I like the idea of adding a bypass.

Yeah, but if you add a little rum, it doesn't taste too bad.

Now I’m thinking about winterizing with Kirkland Vodka . . . It’s all fun till someone flushed a toilet.
