WOW! 4-Year MSRP Delta
My 2018 Jay Flight 24RBS in September 2017 had an MSRP of $28,380 including selected options.
In September 2021, the MSRP (Jayco web site) for a similar configured Jay Flight 24RBS now has an MSRP of $42,436 !! A $14,056 MSRP increase in 4 years
But, the 2021 MSRP did add a detachable power cord, exterior TV bracket, and cupholders in the arms of the jackknife sofa.

I hear the price of cupholders has gone through the roof! That would explain most of it....maybe.

I was wondering if you can still get 30-35% off MSRP on a RV these days. Lots of Ford dealers are not budging on MSRP AND adding a 3-5K "market adjustment fee".

$10K Sounds correct for those upgrades! $4K for inflation.
Seams about right.

Good question...., my original purchase price was 31% off MSRP 4 years ago.
At least in the short term on a 3-4 year old clean/used TT one shouldn't loose to much off their original purchased price.

I can tell you that when we ordered our 2021 North Point, the dealer would not budge from the MSRP. His exact statement was "look around, my lot hasn't been this empty in 20 years". They have no reason to dicker right now, if I didn't buy it, someone else would have.
The dealer did, however, give me 10K more in trade than I paid new for my 2017 Eagle 325BHQS.

Drove past many RV dealers on our 2 month trip and 75 percent of them had quite a few units on the lot.

I've read that some dealers are putting rigs in service on 'the lot' to give the image that the dealer is not going out of business.

Our '21 Pinnacle was listed at 128.8K. A identical one he sold when we picked ours 8 weeks later, and it was identical, sold for 10K more. For grins I went on the Jayco Website and built a '22 model just like ours. 151K was the list price. We paid under 94K before taxes and crap, and the dealer agreed to throw in the Jayco solar with 2 panels at no extra charge.

Unfortunately CW bought the RV dealership near my parents place up north (they had a good service department). We have been up that way a few times this year. This spring the lot was virtually empty. The few rigs they had were well spread-out to fill the curb line along the highway, with a few rigs near the building. We had planned to stop in over the weekend, but the lot was so empty, we decided it was not worth it. We were back up there a two months or so ago, and the lot might have been a little fuller but still very empty.
Drove past this weekend, and the lot is way fuller! DW and I commented that it looked like they took over the parking lot of the business next door, and rigs are park there too. Looked like the lot was parked with rigs two to three rows deep of rigs. Still fairly spread-out, but clearly there was a lot more rigs on the lot.
They were all the same brand, similar graphics, and all looked shiny and new. Hopefully this is a good sign. Wish I had pay attention to the other 6 or so dealerships I drove past.

In Sept of 2018 we paid $27,000.00 for our Jayfeather. Just checked a couple days ago and it is worth $33,500.00 now used. I guess that we will keep this one for the time being

Today I dropped by the dealership where we bought our 2018 JayFlight to pick up a fitting. It was family-owned then but Gander now. They had just gotten a couple of dozen new units on the lot but they were all bunkhouse models of some sort. He said they should get more models but the rumor is Jayco is going to be shutting down production again for a while. Keep the supply down and the demand (and prices) will stay up.

Or sell yours for an inflated price and get a smoking’ deal on a barely used one from somebody who bought during the pandemic but realized it wasn’t their thing!

In Canada that same trailer (Jayco 24RBS) has an MSRP of $60495. Our Prime Minister is the king of inflation. We’re printing money faster and faster everyday.

our 195RB we paid $15k for in Oct 2015 we traded in and got 15K in 2021.
It had 100,000 miles on it and some were not kind miles
So we paid out of pocket $13K for our 212 QB as there was no discount. Either way you get what you want.

Hope they have the equity to make that deal. Most people won't be able to unload them for a smoking price without throwing tens of thousands of dollars at it. Low down payments and ten years or longer financing will leave most folks upside down.

Kim, if you got your new 2021 212QB for $13k, you definitely got a discount as that’s way under MSRP even for the most basic version. Good for you.

Very true, coach. Just $500 down and payments for life!
