Talked to Micro-air. Great support. They said really the easystart will do just that, help start the compressor on the AC. The dying after 5 minutes, he said most likely is something else turning on like the fridge or the battery charger.
I am going to do some more troubleshooting and see if I can narrow down what else could be drawing AC power.
He did say if I wasn't able to get it to work as expected after working with support they do offer a money back guarantee.
