Yellow Weight Sticker
Do those stickers on the side show the actual weight of the unit, as sold, with the included accessories, etc?

If it states "Ship Weight", that's the weight as it departed the factory, not the RV dealership (add battery, hitch, etc.).

It states, "The weight of this recreational vehicle trailer as completed at the factory with full propane cylinder(s) and full generator fuel if applicable is 4888 lbs".
I interpret that as meaning my 26BH with full propane weighs 4888 lbs. The only thing that may not be inluded is the battery, since that is not a factory item. Do you agree?

I would have to agree based on how it reads. It was my understanding that the sticker would use the phrase "Ship Weight", but maybe not.
Possibly some other new Jayco owners can confirm the language of the "ship weight" sticker.

That`s also the way mine reads. the published weight on mine was around 5350 lbs and the sticker weight is 5568lbs which does include full propane tanks. Not sure why they do that since they are shipped with empty propane tanks but they must add the weight when they scale it.
Now you would add the weight of the battery and WD hitch system to the equation, which would be your final empty weight IMO. Then start loadin` her up and get your loaded weight!

Lee,
To add to the confusion, I was told by a RV manufacture years ago that even the published TT UVW reflected in brochures included the weight of the LP fluid..., seen documentation supporting this (and also documentation saying otherwise). I wonder if this follows what the automotive guys do with Curb Weights (includes full tank of fuel)??
So far everything that I have seen on "Ship Weight" stickers is that it includes the weight of the LP fluid.
Another new federal regulation that RV dealers are slowly reacting to is that if they add more than 200lbs (in options/hardware, etc.) to an RV's specified "ship weight", they are suppose to apply another "sticker" reflecting the added weight and the reduced CCC.

Don't they ship with a battery. or is it installed at the dealer? It would make sense to me to have a battery installed when in transit to operate the breakaway switch. Without the battery, there would be no power to engage the brakes after a breakaway.

The sticker explicitly states that it's the weight of the trailer as it leaves the factory including propane. It says nothing about any fluids in the tanks.

Nope, the dealer provides and installs the batteries. One of the reasons that dealer options, hitch, and battery weight is added on top of "ship weight" from the dealer.
It's my understanding that 5th wheels with hydraulic landing gear the manufacture will provide the batteries in these cases. Don't know how MH's are handled.

The yellow sticker is supposed to show the weight of the RV as it goes out of the door at the assembly plant... now they know what a load of water, fuel, propane, battery weight so they can add that if they like.

Seann,
If by "they" you mean the manufacture, as mentioned the weight of LP gas is included in the ship weight represented on the yellow weight sticker.
Now fuel....., I thought that the weight of a full tank of fuel was included as well for Toy Haulers, don't recall where I heard that, so I could be mistaken. Maybe someone knows for sure.(?)

Crabman hit it. Go to a CAT scale for your real weight. I just think of published weight as a guide. We're only on our second RV trailer but with both I headed for the scale before loading it with out stuff and again afterwards. I also have a TW scale, although it slipped and broke, so I'm still really guessing at this point on our new TT.

The published weight is just a starting point anyway... then add in the weight of clothes food dishes toys etc etc etc... load the vehicle up for a trip and stop one should be the scales ... YOU WILL BE IN FOR A SHOCK...

Read what I wrote as to what my sticker says:
It states, "The weight of this recreational vehicle trailer as completed at the factory with full propane cylinder(s) and full generator fuel if applicable is 4888 lbs". It does mention propane and fuel (if applicable), but not water/waste tanks.

I have at least two stickers in two places that say how much more the camper weighs when the fresh water tank is full.
