Our motor home was at Pete’s RV for over 13 weeks this year for several recalls and for them to troubleshoot the AC issues.
Was your replacement a heat pump model?
Brian

Nope - we tend to camp in temps where the Heat Pump looses some effectiveness. Replacement was a plain-jane 15K. I may come back and add a heat strip...

Is it possible to add a heat strip on a heat pump model HVAC unit? Are they premiered for that option?

The Coleman's usually are should lbe plug and play. When the heatpump shuts off, around 40, the heatstrip comes on.

If you are a frequent buyer from a particular dealer, you may have a better chance.
We were definitely outside of the warranty window - 2 years out. But DW was reminding me that we had "metal" shavings on the floor by that slide and we did bring it to the service people's attention. They said it was because it was a new unit. Thinking back - don't think so. Think it was because of the issues that we had repair this past year.

My 2 cents...pick a reputable dealer. I spent about 3 hours on my delivery inspection with a mechanic, well worth the time and never was made to feel rushed. Build quality on my unit was what ive seen before..cosmetic trim issues, wood screws poking through panels, wood screw breakouts.
I'm on my second Jayco trailer and buy them for the warranty and roof quality generally. So far so good with my latest trailer and all the systems working although I've had to do some minor repairs, but I think the industry in general is in disarray due to covid and frankly I was expecting more issues than i've run into.

2022 Pinnacle 32rlts, purchased in February 2022 dropped at dealer in June 22 for a water leak in the pantry(that’s 4months in my possesion, 4 months at the dealer for repair. The dealer let me know today that the leak has caused damage to the plywood floor. Now the entire lino floor covering from the door back has to be replaced. I looked at it today, and the shower is taken apart, the pantry is out, and theres wood stacked throughout the cabin. Again, only 8 months old and 4 of the 8 months sitting at the dealer. I can’t be more unhappy and disappointed that I bought a Jayco product. Theres absolutely no chance I’ll get it back anywhere close to the condition of an 8 month old rv.

I would think that may qualify possibly under the lemon law? I’d contact Jayco and tell them to give you a new one. Good luck

I don’t think RV’s are covered under the lemon law.
